Custom Fabrication Equipment in Kenya — What to Know

What this line covers

Custom fabrication includes cooling tables, hand wash stations, sluice sinks, staircase railings, balcony railings, and stainless steel storage tanks. These are fabricated to support specialised project requirements.

Why it matters

Many commercial and institutional projects need solutions that do not exist as standard catalogue items. Bespoke fabrication bridges that gap with a clean finish, proper engineering, and a coordinated installation approach.

Best for

Hospitality developments, healthcare sites, schools, restaurants, and any project that requires tailored stainless steel details and one-off fabrication.

Also searched as stainless steel fabricators, stainless steel fabrication, metal fabrication, bespoke stainless fabrication and custom stainless steel products.

When Custom Beats Off-the-Shelf

Standard equipment assumes a standard room. Custom fabrication earns its cost wherever the building does not cooperate — an awkward column, a sloping floor, a non-standard run, or a workflow that a catalogue layout cannot serve.

  • Runs that must fit an exact wall length with no gaps
  • Equipment worked around columns, service risers or changes in level
  • Non-kitchen stainless work: railings, tanks, cladding, covers
  • Replacement of a single failed component in an existing line
  • Food-processing parts requiring a specific grade or finish

How the Fabrication Process Runs

We survey and measure on site, produce drawings for approval, fabricate in our own Nairobi workshop, then deliver and install. Fabricating in-house is what keeps standard items at one to two weeks and custom work at two to four.

Grade and Finish Selection

Grade 304 for food-contact and washdown surfaces; Grade 201 where cost matters and exposure is lower, such as frames and stands. Marine or highly corrosive environments may justify 316. We advise per component rather than applying one grade across a whole job.

Custom Fabrication — Frequently Asked Questions

What does a stainless steel fabricator in Nairobi actually do?

We measure on site, draw the item for your approval, cut, form and weld it in our own workshop, then deliver and install. Because fabrication is in-house rather than subcontracted, standard items take one to two weeks and custom work two to four.

Is custom stainless steel fabrication more expensive than buying standard?

Per item it can be, but it is often cheaper overall. Custom work removes the gaps, filler strips and wasted floor area that standard sizes leave in a real building, and those gaps are both a hygiene finding and lost working space.

Can you fabricate non-kitchen stainless steel items?

Yes. Alongside kitchen equipment we fabricate staircase and balcony railings, stainless steel storage tanks, cladding and covers. The same welding and finishing discipline applies, and the same Grade 201 | 304 material.

Can you replace one damaged item in an existing kitchen?

Yes, and it is a common request. We measure the existing run and fabricate a replacement that matches the adjacent units, so you are not forced to replace a whole line because one table or sink has failed.
